Compulsory civil liability and legal defence
The Leisure Craft Insurance guarantees the payment of all the compensations established by the Law, due to the civil liability derived from unforeseen incidents that may be caused by both the ship operator, its owner or those duly authorized to man the boat.
It is a compulsory Liability insurance against any unforeseen event that may arise at sea, to face damage caused to third parties, both material and personal.
We also take care of your criminal defense, including the payment of judicial and extrajudicial costs related to the defense and management of the claim, as well as possible bails.
This protection also includes the auxiliary boat if you have it or if you practice water skiing.
Damage claim
We will claim the damages that a third party may cause you for facts derived from the use of the insured boat, both as a friendly settlement and or in the courts.
Damage to the boat
With this extension of your Leisure Craft Insurance, the damages that may be suffered during navigation, during launching operations or dry-laying, ashore, during transport by road or rail are guaranteed and all this including the compulsory civil liability of the auxiliary boat if there is one.
We offer you the possibility of contracting this guarantee according to the Spanish Nautical Conditions or the English Conditions (Institute Yacht Clauses).
Optional coverage
Theft
Theft protection is essential to ensure the integrity of your boat and the assets in it. This guarantee protects you from damage or loss caused by theft or attempted theft of the boat while it is in docks in nautical clubs or authorized marinas, in closed garages or hangars or if it occurs during transport by land, through violent or intimidating acts in the latter case.
Bodily accidents
You have 8 capital options available to insure from 6.000 euros to 60.000 euros per occupant of the boat. Death, permanent disability, medical assistance or the costs of search and rescue will be covered.
Nautical assistance
The necessary assistance at sea. It includes towing the boat if it suffers a breakdown or an accident that prevents it from reaching the nearest port, as well as land transportation or the sending of technical-mechanical assistance if it cannot navigate back to the usual mooring port. It also includes the search and shipment of spare parts if they could not be located at the place of where the breadown took place.
The occupants will also have the best protection, which includes expenses for the transfer to the home if the repair of the boat lasted more than four days or the cost of hotel accommodation. In addition, we offer you medical assistance in case of illness or injury.

What kind of damage to the boat does the guarantee over damages caused by the owner cover?
This optional guarantee protects your boat from damage it may suffer both on the water and on land, as a consequence of:
- During navigation or in the water: collision or boarding, hit or crashing against fixed or floating objects, beached or run aground, sinking or shipwreck, tidal waves or as a consequence of storm, by fire, piracy, earthquakes or tsunami.
- During their stay on the ground, Damage as a result of fire or explosion while in garages, hangars or the like, as well as those caused by overturning, collision and loading and unloading operations during their transportation by land are included.
- In addition, damages during launching or dry-laying operations are covered, provided they are carried out by qualified personnel.
